Farming as a business has come a long way and has now been embraced as a means to increase rural income and address youth unemployment.

However, to achieve this is, requires applying practices commonly used for production to supply export markets in regular farming operations. This results in higher productivity and increased income from farming and value addition through proper postharvest handling practices and/or primary processing.
